Floor Refinishing | Dallas-Fort Worth
Bring dull or worn hardwood floors back to life
Sanding, stain, and a protective finish, with an optional dustless sanding system. Owner-operated, with free estimates.
A typical refinish takes 2 to 3 days, depending on the size of the job.
What floor refinishing is
Refinishing sands your existing hardwood down past the wear, scratches, and old finish, then applies a fresh stain and a protective top coat. It restores floors that look dull, scratched, sun-faded, or worn without the cost and mess of pulling the floor out and starting over. If your wood is structurally sound, refinishing usually makes more sense than replacing it.
What this service includes
- Sanding
- Stain
- Protective finish
- Dustless sanding (optional)
Refinishing is the main service Brock Summerville started Infynite to do more of. It is the fastest way to change the look of a room without new construction.
Is refinishing right for your floor
Refinishing is a good fit when the wood itself is solid but the surface has seen better days. Here are the problems it solves.
Scratches and wear
Pet scratches, moved furniture, and years of foot traffic have worn through the finish and left the wood looking tired.
Sun fading and dullness
Sunlight has faded the stain or the finish has lost its shine, leaving the floor flat and uneven in color.
Old or yellowed finish
An older finish has yellowed or worn unevenly, and you want a fresh, even color and sheen across the whole floor.
A new stain color
You like your floors but want to change the color to match new furniture, walls, or a fresh room update.
Selling or refreshing a home
You are preparing to sell or just moved in, and refinished floors are one of the highest-impact updates for the price.
Water spots or minor damage
Small water spots or localized damage are present, and the surrounding wood is otherwise in good shape.
Not sure whether your floor needs a full refinish or a repair? We come out, look at the wood, and tell you straight. If the boards are too thin to sand or the damage goes deeper, we will say so before quoting a refinish you do not need.

Stain and color on site
We talk through stain colors and mix stain colors on site so you can picture the finish and color on your floor. Dozens of stain colors and custom mixing are available.
Prep the work area
We contain the work area. If you asked for the dustless option, we set up the dust-collection system before sanding begins.
Sanding
We sand the floor down past the wear, scratches, and old finish, working through progressive grits to a smooth, clean surface ready for stain.
Stain and protective finish
We apply your chosen stain color, then the protective finish you picked, from matte to semi-gloss, with polyurethane or hardwax oil, and oil-based or water-based options both available.
Cleanup and review
We clean up after the job and walk the finished floor with you to confirm the color and finish are right before we leave.
A typical refinish takes 2 to 3 days, depending on the size of the job.
Refinishing options to choose from
Every floor is different. We walk you through these choices at your estimate so the finished floor matches your home and how you live in it.
Dustless sanding option
Refinishing can be done with a dust-collection system so far less dust spreads through your home during sanding. It is a good fit for occupied homes and families with allergies. Ask about the dustless option and we will bring it up at your estimate so you can decide.
Stain color and sheen
We offer dozens of stain colors and custom color mixing, so you can picture the finish on your floor before the full job. Finish options run from matte to semi-gloss.

Protective finish type
Both oil-based and water-based finishes are available. We walk you through the tradeoffs, like durability and dry time, at your estimate. Polyurethane and hardwax oil are both on the table.
See it before you commit
